Brand Review: House of Rena

House of Rena Infinity Scarves Collection
Have you heard of the House of Rena brand before? If you follow my blog, I'm sure that you have heard me mention pieces from the House of Rena Collection often. Designer Eranne Whiters is a young, gifted college graduate who was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. I did a personal interview on Miss Eranne Whiter here.

House of Rena Pants
So what does House of Rena consists of? House of Rena is an accessory line featuring headbands, scarves, totes, turbans, lapels, and bow ties. Miss Whiters also makes custom pieces as well. She specializes in dresses, pants, and jackets, etc. House of Rena accessories are cute and affordable. Nothing in the accessory collection is over $20. Did I mention that House of Rena accessories are versatile? I style my turban during the day and sometimes use it as a headscarf at night. I can honestly say that I am in love with the House of Rena Collection.

My favorite accessory that House of Rena offered for the summer is my polka dot turban. But for the fall, I am looking forward to rocking my stripe infinity scarf. My scarf is soft and hugs gently around my neck. I can tell that Miss Eranne Whiters took her time creating my scarf. But wait there's more.... did I mention that I bought a House of Rena headband as well? It's floral and there are more online here. I have yet to wear it because I am waiting for the prefect hairstyle. When you have short hair you can't just throw on a headband. Which is another reason why I am thinking about growing my hair back out. (That's a whole other story!)

Untitled

How do I explain that I am too wild to be tamed?
That I can't help but fantasize about designer clothes, red bottoms, and fancy homes...
How do I explain that my dreams have changed and I no longer want to be married living happily ever after?
How do I say that I have outgrown our childhood dreams of forever?
How can I fix my lips to say what my heart has already confirmed?
I guess I could start with the truth...
The truth is that I want to travel the region, the country, the globe.
I want to rub elbows with Tyra Banks, Angela Simmons, and June Ambrose.
That I want to walk the red carpet and sit in the front row during New York Fashion Week.
How do I say that my dreams include all of me and none of we?

This is something a little different. I love poetry and have finally decided to share one of my pieces. Please leave comments below. I hope that you enjoyed it!

No Matter What

Do you believe in forever? I do. I think that everyone has one person whom they are meant to go throughout life with. Sometimes barriers come and doubts come, but when it's real you just know. I believe that anything worth having is worth fighting for. Rather that means mending past relationships, fixing old friendships, or quitting your job to start your own company. I just believe that we were all put here to live, love, and enjoy our breaths.

Life is a gift, so what are you doing with yours? Are you wasting time dwelling on the past or so busy planning for the future that you can't enjoy today? No matter what you are going through darling, you have to sit back and appreciate the small things that you have. Start here and start now, using what you have to make your life better. Stop chasing the money and enjoy what you do. There is never enough money when that's all you want. Life is not about being rich monetarily, but rather being rich in laughs, love, and friendship. When is the last time you just sat back and watched a movie in you pjs? Or ran outside topless? Or did something outside of your usual routine for that? No matter how boring you may think your life is or terrible things may seem, remember that someone out there has it worst than you. So laugh as much as you can and make memories that you will be proud of or at least you can laugh at with your grandkids.

I can honestly say that as crazy, silly, and loud I have grown to be that I don't regret any of my crazy college girl antics. I am having the time of my life in college and I am doing that with people who I love and love me back. I may not be married or even dating the man of my dreams like I imagined years ago, but I am content and it feels good. So I am encouraging you to push past your insecurities, fears, and doubts and go for what you want. Be honest and direct about what you feel. You have to be yourself and give yourself some credit. Nevermind what other people think about you as long as you can look yourself in the mirror with a smile. You are beautiful and someone loves you darling.

I hope that this encouraged you to go for what you want. I have a huge confession that I wanted to share as well... I want to move to NYC or Chicago after I graduate from the University in May 2015. I am currently looking for an internship in NYC or Chicago for Summer 2014 to take my blogging and styling career to the next level. Wish me luck and you can support my trip here.

Much Love,
Jas

My Life

I wanted to share a little bit more about myself with you guys. Thanks a lot for supporting my blog. I am so proud to say that www.TheeFashionStories.com has surpassed 30,000 page views. My goal is to reach 40,000 by November 22, 2013 because that is my blog's 1 year anniversary! Are there any things that you guys want to see more of? Just let me know! You can learn more about me, Jas, below!

Yesterday I had the privilege of working with one of my guy friends, Mr. Steven Jackson. He was the first ever male model and yesterday was my first time ever being the photographer & stylist on set! So of course, I was a little nervous at first but things went well! I have 2 girls to style today. I am building my styling portfolio because I am looking for a Fall 2014 internship and I want to go to NYC for spring break! I am starting a fund to raise $500 for my trip and you can support me here.

I have been going out a lot lately since school just started. My classes are tough so I won't be going out again for a while. I will try my absolute best to post everyday. I love blogging so it will always be a priority of mine, after school. Although sometimes I want to quit school and move to NYC! Ha. I know that my degree will open up doors for me. I actually love college, just not the schoolwork. Lol in all honesty, college has made me a better woman. I love my major (textile & apparel management), my friends, my choir, my room, etc.

Okay until next time, be cute & laugh!

Much Love,
Jas
