Goodbye 2013 and Cheers to New Beginnings
The year is coming to an end, so I wanted to share a little bit more about myself and thank all of my supporters for sticking with TheeFashionStories. I have big ideas for 2014, so stay tuned! My journey has just begun and I am loving it more and more each day. Blogging has taught me a lot about myself and others. I have learned to trust my instincts and to be more direct when communicating. Life often throws us curveballs, but we have to be willing to catch them in order to grow. I hope that TheeFashionStories has had a positive impact on your life. I won't stop!
I am forever grateful to every designer, every brand, every stylist, etc. who gave me the opportunity to share a part of their story with TheeFashionStories. I am going to do a small roll call. If I forgot you please comment so that I can add you. I enjoyed doing each interview, store review, and brand review. I am looking forward to staying connected with everyone in 2014. I wish you all much success!

Weekend News
Hello Lovelies!
This weekend was absolutely amazing for me! I hung out with my family, made power moves for Thee Fashion Stories and received awesome teaching at church. On Friday night myself along with my cousins, aunts, mom, and other family members gathered at my great aunt's home to play games and eat snacks. It was great to see everyone laugh and play together.
Saturday morning I got an early start with shooting the Back to School Lookbook. It will feature 5 different, fabulous looks and it will drop sometime soon! Geesh summer 2013 has flown right by! I cannot believe that I go back to school in less than a month. God has really favored me this summer, especially with this blog. I could not do any of this without God. The lookbook will be on this blog and YouTube. Thank you Ie'shia McDonald (photographer/videographer) and Eranne Whiters (designer) for your time and support. It was really awesome shooting with you all. If you want to purchase a turban or any type of fashion accessory please check out www.EffortlessStyleKC.com!
After the lookbook shoot wrapped up I went birthday shopping for my awesome dad! He turned 41 years old on Sunday July 14, 2013 and my grandfather turned 70 years old on July 13, 2013. It is so amazing having awesome, supportive men in my life! So after I made it home, I changed for the t-shirts and turbans photo shoot with Revamped and House of Rena! The shoot took place on the Country Club Plaza a little before sunset. The shoot featured Revamped t-shirts and TheeFashionStories.com t-shirts along with fabulous House of Rena turbans. After the shoot ended I called it a night. I was working from 7am to 10pm, but it did not feel like work at all. Doing what you love for a living is more like living a dream.
Finally on Sunday morning, my dad's birthday, I went to my awesome church New Life in Christ International Ministries. Rapper Da' T.R.U.T.H said a very stunning quote and it stated, " When it comes to the Bible you can believe it, reject it, or edit." That really got me thinking about life. I know for a fact that when I sin I try to work my way around it being wrong. But this quote really stuck me in my side and made me want to get it right. So my advice to you is to draw closer to God and love Him, instead of running from him.
Much Love,

So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is why we are here! No one will bring us back from death to enjoy life after we die. Ecclesiastes 3:22
