4 Rules I Live By

1. Invest in your craft.
I have made a habit of investing in my crafts. Whatever I do I try to put my all into it. I enjoy many things, but my favorite hobbies are singing, blogging, shopping, and doing a hosts of different arts & crafts projects. It takes money to make money. I started blogging a year and a half ago and I can honestly say when I began to invest more time, money, and effort into my blog is really began to grow. Do not be afraid to be a starving artist. We all have to start somewhere. Put your feet to the plow and never look back! What are your hobbies & interests? Please share.

2. Spending time alone is good for the soul.
I started getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks a few months ago. I'm always on edge, always busy, always thinking, so this was how I figured I'd force myself to relax. Once I start making the big bucks I will be going to the spa. Ha. I take out time to do what I love because I value myself. I love myself more than anyone else ever could and I vowed to myself 2 years ago that I could never let myself go again. My "Me Time" is when I get energy and ideas for the week. How do you relax?

3. Do not settle.
Never ever give up on your dreams. Settling in a relationship, career, family, etc. is slow suicide. You will always wonder "what if?" Stop settling so quickly! Do not give up on yourself. Keeping pushing! I gave up on myself before. I was broken before, ya know like down in the dump? I have seen some pretty dark days, but there was always a fight inside of me. Even when I didn't want to keep going God pushed me & He placed people in my corner who wouldn't let me give up. You have come too far to quit or give up darling! Write down your goals & dreams, then go for it!

4. Do not be afraid to sparkle.
Sometimes its good to stand out & be the absolute best. Stop apologizing for your success. I know first hand how it feels to be the "good girl." You want to fit in, but God keeps blessing you and pushing you outside of the box. It can be uncomfortable, but He chose you so embrace it. Your successes, triumphs, and joys are reasons to celebrate. Never let anyone ruin your special moments. You can shine and you will shine because you were born to win!

What rules do you live by? How do you relax? Let me guess long, hot bubble baths with candles?

Repost: Hope

Have you ever felt like giving up? Like maybe nothing was going your way so you should just throw in the towel? I have and those are usually the times when I am trying to do things in my own strength. It never ceases to amaze me when I look back at where I've come from. It is simply amazing that Jesus Christ chose to die for sinners like you and I.

He did not have to, but he chose to. Jesus said he came to do the will of the father who sent him. Ironically, we give up on assignments that he has given us out of fear. Fear of failure, fear of losing, fear of success, etc. We all have our share of fears and failures, but God doesn't care about the past. He knows all about you and he loves you. He chose to lead you here to read this post. He chose to pull you out of your mess so that you can help others. Stop sitting on your dreams and goals. Stop being bound by fear. He didn't give you those desired and dreams for no reason.

Changes: More Fashion and Scripture in 2014

I am bringing more fashion photography and scripture to TheeFashionStories this year! I am going to be doing weekly photo shoots and giving stylists the opportunity to display their work monthly on TheeFashionStories. I will keep a scripture along with a gospel spoken word piece or song on the TheeFashionStories sidebar. This blog is about more than fashion. The goal of TheeFashionStories is to inspire your style and intrigue your style.

The New Jas + Inspiration

I am finally at a point my life where I can say that I am absolutely in love with who God made me. I am reaching for dreams that I never thought I could and making myself proud. It goes to show you that God can make somebody out of anybody. He can lift you up and dust you off. I went through a lot of hell before TheeFashionStories started and even recently. From the outside looking in, I've always had it together. But honestly, I was really depressed a few months ago.

I thought that my life was over when I had to face the mess that I had made of myself. I was sure that no one would ever want me, not as a friend, lover, blogger, etc. Then one day, God grabbed me and changed my mindset. He placed people in my corner to pray for me and encourage me. I can honestly say that I am still here and kicking because of love and prayer. If God can do it for me, then he can do it for you!

I am fueled by my passion for blogging and desire for success. I have been blogging for a little over a year now and I really can't imagine doing anything different with the rest of my life. I feel like my voice is finally being heard by the masses. I can finally see my dreams manifesting. The older I get, the more I feel like I am growing into my own. I wanted to have the biggest fashion blog in the country a few months ago. Now I just want readers to be touched and inspired by TheeFashionStories.

I want you to enjoy your time checking out my blog. My blog is me in written form. I like to create beautiful things and decorate EVERYTHING in site. I am a stylist to my friends and I always have advice. I love to talk so typing out my thoughts comes easy. I am growing and I hope that you are growing too. I wanted my blog to grow, but in all honesty being a blogger/ business owner has forced me to grow in ways that I never imagined. So you should step out on faith and turn your dreams into plans! A year from now, you are going to wish that you started today.

I want to know your passions. What are your dreams and goals? I really would like to know what my readers are going through or hoping to find within TheeFashionStories. The goal of TheeFashionStories is to inspire your style and intrigue your soul. Enjoy!

Much Love,
Jas the Stylist

Things Have Changed

I used to want to be big and known, similar to other bloggers. But now I want to just be myself and help others grow. I love that TheeFashionStories.com is growing in popularity and that I am building my network. Working with local designers this summer has been so inspiring and eye opening. Dreams really do come true and God has been nothing short of amazing to me. I love the Lord and I love fashion, and it is my pleasure to edit this blog. I love what God is doing in my life and in the lives of others around me. I have grown so much this summer as a business woman and lady. I had big plans of leaving this state for the summer and never coming back, but now I know why God told me to turn down my internship offers. It was simply because he needed to humble me and show me what really matters in life. It's not about money or fame, but rather enjoying life and taking breaths to enjoy the little things. this summer I have genuinely enjoyed. It wasn't perfect and I made some mistakes, but it was all worth it. Looking back at the start of 2013 and now just makes me laugh. God is great and I am really honored to be his little princess. I just wanted to vent to you all and let you know that anything is possible with God on your side and faith in your heart. Don't give up on your dreams. Start here & now, it's never too late.

Much Love,
Jas
